Parents: James Philip House & Anna Maria Crosby

Birthdate: March 18, 1883 in Fenwick, Lincoln, Ontario.

Laura Belle House was born March 18, 1883 in Fenwick, Lincoln, Ontario to James Philip House, son of Isaac House and Sarah Ann Tiffany; and Ann Maria Crosby, daughter of Samuel Crosby and Eunice Schram. Laura was raised on the family's fruit farm in the Niagara Peninsula. Laura married George Vernon Hedden on June 26, 1906 in Welland, Ontario. The Heddens soon moved to western New York area, settling in the Oakfield area first, and then moving to Lockport. They had five children: Orie Mahlom, Merle Edward, James Edward, Doris Mildred, and Eva Irene.

George Vernon Hedden was actively involved ion the Oddfellows Lodge, and Laura was active in the local Rebekahs, Order of the Eastern Star. George worked for many years at Harrison Radiator in Lockport. Laura died on October 26, 1959 and is interred at the Wrights Corners Cemetery with George, who died in June of 1964.
